One of my proudest moments in my carreer was when Martin, at JAOO 2003 asked me to explain IoC and PicoContainer to him. Later he wrote an article on Dependency Injection where he thanked me for reviewing the article.

When he gave me ‘My job went to India’ at RubyConf 2005, signed ‘You don’t need this book Aslak, Give it to someone else!’

I had just joined ThoughtWorks in 2003 and was attending the JAOO conference. David was hanging around the ThoughtWorks booth, and he just wouldn’t stop talking about Ruby and some kind of fantastic collaboration system he was working on. I had been using Ruby for a little while, but wasn’t nearly as enthustiastic about it as him.
